What is the best way to set up split brain DNS under a L2TP VPN? Can it be done with the Astaro instead? Basically I want a user to resolve portal.contoso.com to the public IP rather than the private IP under the AD Domain. Anyone had any gotchas?

    Don't set up L2TP with your internal DNS on the 'Advanced' tab - use those from your ISP instead.  Don't put VPN Pool (L2TP) into 'Allowed networks' for your Astaro DNS Proxy.

    Also, you can set up L2TP as a split tunnel in the client.  Touch the 'Advanced' button in IPv4 Properties in the Windows client ad de-select the remote gateway.
