DNS over SSL VPN

Hi,

I have read through the forums but unable to find any resolutions that solve my issue. 

Currently I can connect to our Astaro V7.5001 via SSL VPN with OpenVPN 2.1 r21, and I can access the servers, but only through their IP address. I have set the DNS server IP address in Astaro under Advanced, I have attempted to use the command 'ipconfig /registerdns' but so far I still can not connect via hostname, only IP address.

Currently Astaro is set up in Bridge mode.

    Mhager, do you have "VPN Pool (SSL)" in 'Allowed Networks' in the Astaro DNS configuration?

    Mbg4, how are Astaro DNS, internal name servers and clients configured for DNS?  For example, in our office, DHCP is configured so that Clients first get name resolution from DNS provided by our PDC, and the Astaro is the second.  The Astaro's internal IP is the unique forwarder for internal DNS.  Astaro DNS is configured with 'Internal (Network)' in 'Allowed Networks' and the forwarders are those supplied by our ISP.

    Thanks for the reply Bob, I have checked and 'VPN Pool (SSL)' is in the DNS allowed networks, and I have set up the forwarders to our internal DNS server.
