IPSec VPN with RSA Key No connection from time to time

Hi,
we have a couple of ASG 220 and 320 in different Locations all over Germany. We use Version 7.501 but the problem also occured with older versions.

We have set up IPSec Site to Site VPNs using RSA keys from every Location to our main Location.

These VPNs usually work fine but from time to time we get erros stating that the RSA key might be wrong.
Heres the log:

2009:11:23-14:27:47 ASG-Name pluto[3562]: "Name of the VPN" #40032: Peer ID is ID_USER_FQDN: 'E-Mailadresse'
2009:11:23-14:27:47 ASG-Name pluto[3562]: "Name of the VPN" #40032: Signature check (on E-Mailadresse) failed (wrong key?); tried *AQOrsDwxQ
2009:11:23-14:27:47 ASG-Name pluto[3562]: "Name of the VPN" #40032: sending encrypted notification INVALID_KEY_INFORMATION to www.***.yyy.zzz:500

When I turn the VPN off and on again it works fine.

Does anybody know how to solve this?

    I changed the VPN connections to use Certificates. Works like a charm now. :-)

    But I'd still like to know whats causing the problem with the RSA key. So, if anybody knows anything about this problem please share your information with us/me.
