SSL VPN and Remote Desktop

Hello

i successfully connect to my home network with Astaro SSL VPN Client. I am using latest Astaro 7.5. 

All network drives are available, connection seems perfect. If i try to open a remote desktop session using mstsc.exe, i get the remote windows login screen. after i submitted username and password it takes a while and then it disconnects me from VPN.

    Well I'll try and post what Im seeing here and please be gentle with me [:)]

    Astaro version : 7.505
    Intrusion Prevention : not running.
    IM/P2P blocking not enabled.
    Latest version of the client vpn software.
    Remote desktop "Network Level Authentication" not enabled.

    Windows Xp laptop using a SSL vpn into our astaro box. And then remote desktop to a internal PC.

    Never had any problems with this before when the internal PC ran Windows xp sp3. But since upgrading to Windows 7 have been unable to connect.
    And as Gnomme says. "when I try to connect with remote desktop I get the windows login sreen, and after login I get the windows welcome screen but after 
    that it wont go to windows desktop but only show a black image for some seconds and puf...the remote connection drops." 
    As in the vpn connection is reset and then reconnects.

    Nothing in any of the logs. No packet filters triggered. Nothing.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you for that scenario.  Would it be possible to take that laptop and connect it to the target machine's LAN and try again?  I'd just like to rule out the possibility that there is some sort of incompatibility between the XP RDP client and the Win7 RDP server.  (This is why I asked gnomme the same question.)

    If the exact same client and target can connect on the same LAN segment, then we can confidently say that the problem lies with the Astaro or the VPN client, in which case I would suggest you try one of the other supported VPN methods so that we can further pinpoint the component that is causing the trouble.
