after 7.5 upgrades edirectory authenication no longer works

updated to 7.5 last night and now today my remote access doesn't work for any user names that authenticate remotely ('synced from edirectory').   

The user names that are 'locally authenticated' are working fine.

    Look in: Users -> Authentication -> Single Sign-On (tab) -> eDirectory
    And then if the server is on 'Please Select' or the actual server is selected. In my case the update set the value back to 'Please Select' and then problem went away when I selected my server there.
