SSL-VPN Client for Windows 7 x64

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and I'm having trouble getting the SSL VPN client to work with my ASG 7.405.  Are there any  plans to update ASG so that a new version of the SSL-VPN client can be downloaded from the user portal?

    When I try to install the client on Windows 7 64 bit, it says:

    ERROR:  We are running on a 64-bit system.  This is not supported.  Skipping driver installation.

    tapinstall hwids tap0901 returned: error
    Installing SSL VPN adapter

    Cumulative SSL VPN adapter installation status: 0
    Trying to remove previously installed service
    OpenService failed - The specified service does not exist as an installed service. (0x424)

    The installer does not create the virtual network adapter and when I try to connect anyway, it says, "There are no TAP-Win32 adapters on this system.  You should be able to create a TAP-Win32 adapter by going to Start -> All Programs -> OpenVPN -> Add a new TAP-Win32 virtual ethernet adapter."

    I downloaded the new OpenVPN client from openvpn.net, but I'm not sure how I would get my connection working.  I'm just used to using the nicely-packaged, all-in-one installer that I download from the ASG user portal.

    I just installed the latest version of OpenVPN from http://www.openvpn.net/release/openvpn-2.1_rc19-install.exe after installing the SSL-VPN Astaro client and it works!  Installing this latest version of OpenVPN seems to install all of the necessary components to get the old Vista/XP/2000 version of the ASG SSL-VPN client working on Windows 7 64-bit (I'm running the RTM).  I'm sure Astaro will update the client to use these newer components as our operating systems continue to develop.

    I had some other issues with win7 x64 but the astaro client is working fine. I used the the ssl vpn client from the newest beta version of astaro. the only one problem is that I have to start the client manual as administrator that the routes can be applied.

    otherwise the vpn cames up but no connection possible because no routes.
    The warning message during the installation was also there but no problem during install when you click continue.

    it is not necessary to start the client as admin! it´s enough, to be a member of the network configuration operator group.

    makes no sense to me to grant those rights to a user... for testing and admin purpose no problem. maybe I found another solution to fix this but I can't test this at the moment, no win7 at work.

    Good to know that the new client works in Win 7 x64.  I haven't installed any of the beta versions, but I'll be looking forward to this in an official release.

    Did you manage to get anywhere with this?

    I'm having issues now on a Windows 7 client where the connection seems to run fine, I have the flushdns script running on up, then nothing - no connection to the servers or my network... Very frustrating, as it works on all the other clients reliably.
