L2TP unreliable

I just did a fresh install of 7.405 and set up a VPN via L2TP, I know everything is set up correctly as I can connect via my iPhone.  After I disconnect and try to reconnect at a latter time (either iPhone or laptop), I get a "Server is not responding error."  If I enable and disable L2TP via webadmin everything works fine for a bit then stops working again?  Any ideas?!

    There is no log... which is very weird.  The box was solid for about 24 hours and then stopped responding.  I'm guessing it is hardware related.  I'm going to swap the box and try again.  Thanks for the quick response.
