L2TP unreliable

I just did a fresh install of 7.405 and set up a VPN via L2TP, I know everything is set up correctly as I can connect via my iPhone.  After I disconnect and try to reconnect at a latter time (either iPhone or laptop), I get a "Server is not responding error."  If I enable and disable L2TP via webadmin everything works fine for a bit then stops working again?  Any ideas?!

    Ever since I can remember, L2TP has been bullet-proof for us and our Astaro customers.  If everything truly is configured correctly, I wonder if this might be a hardware issue...

    How about posting the 'IPsec VPN' log for a failed logon attempt?
