Active Directory authentication with subdomain

Hi,

I am trying authenticate users from our subdomain for OpenVPN. It is working good for our main domain. The log says: "invalid search base or filter".
The Base DN includes the subdomain (DC=domain,DC=com). I have also tried without the Base DN. Our Astaro version is 7.404.
Do I need any special rights for the bind user?
Any ideas?

I see in the German Forum that you have post on the same subject. In a response to Tigershark, you said the subdomain is not a part of the same Active Directory as the domain. As rleibl says, beginning with V7.5, you'll be able to address more than one, physical AD server, but, after having read the German post, I'm not sure that the solution you've chosen is the best one for your situation, but we don't know much about what you want to accomplish.
