Broadcasts through SSLVPN-Tunnel

Hi Folks,
is there any way to get broadcasts through a SSLVPN Tunnel?
I think it might be possible to bridge the tun device with the lan interface but I don't know how to do it.
Or maybe there is some kind of proxy-software available that transmits broadcasts over different networks. I think something like this would also be needed if you want to get dhcp working over a vpn-tunnel.

Thanks for any help!

  • While searching on the internet I found out that some cisco device offer a feature called "ip-helper" that will transmit broadcasts accross networks.
Also there seems to be something called "bcrelay" that does the same thing.
I see that asg supports relaying dhcp-requests. I don't know how this is done exactly but I would suppose that this feature also incorporates transmission of broadcasts across networks. This functionality might be specialized on just dhcp-packets, though.

If anyone could spread some light, it would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,
