Loosing connectivity to webadmin when connecting over L2TP VPN

Hi,

when I connect tou ASL 7.401 using my L2TP VPN I loose connectivity to webadmin. I unchecked 'use default gateway on remote network' on the VPN settings and I can browse the internet fine using my own internet connection. I'm also able to connect to the resources behind ASL. Only the webadmin is inaccessible. I've added the VPN pool to the webadmin allowed users, but that has no effect.

Any ideas ?

    Ok, but when I connect using an SSL VPN it works fine. I can access both the internal network and the web admin.

    When you use your SSL VPN, can you ping the internal network behind the Astaro by name, or do you have to ping by explicit IP address because you cannot get name resolution?

    Hi,

    yes I can ping by name since I specified our internal dns servers supplied to remote access clients under remote access -> advanced. Although this page mentions that the DNS servers are supplied only to PPTP and L2TP remote access clients it also supplies these entries to SSL VPN clients.

    Our internal DNS server is also able to resolve external ip-adresses so once I'm connected using SSL VPN I'm using our internal DNS for both internal and external DNS queries instead of my ISP one.
