[7.400] iPhone Cisco VPN

Hi there,

I have upgraded to 7.4 this weekend and tried almost all the new stuff. I also tried the iPhone Cicso VPN Option. The installation on the iPhone worked seemlessly, but I do not get the DNS servers transferred, so I can only use IP-Adresses and I cannot surf the internet while have the VPN active.

I have set proxies, masquerading and packet filter. I also downloaded the iPhone software jNetUtil from the Appstore to see if I can ping the internal network. Work with IP addresses but not with hostnames. jNetUtil can also show me my DNS servers and they are not set although I set them globally in the Remote Access section. With SSL-VPN it works perfectly.

Does anyone have the same issue? Any ideas? Is it a bug?

That sounds like a bug. The L2TP over IPSec works flawlessly with Astaro+iPhone with the added benefit of being able to define a split tunnel by turning off 'Send all traffic'.

Thanks for the tip about iNetUtil.

I'm seeing the same issue - connects but no DNS. ASG220 running 7.402.

/dev0, is this a problem with a Mac or an iPhone? If so, please show a picture of your 'Network >> DNS' 'Forwarders' tab. Also, is your internal domain yourdomain.local?
