A client just changed their PSK for L2TP over IPSec for the first time in a year. A remote programmer logged off, copied the new PSK from the User Portal and was unable to connect. I watched the IPSec live log and saw that he had an incorrect PSK, so I led him through what he needed to do, but the problem remained.
Unbelieving, I tried the same thing. Bang! Same problem! So, I just tried something stupid - I copied the PSK from the User Portal into the Astaro.
I got right in! To test this, I logged into the User Portal on my iPhone, installed L2TP then connected to their Astaro.
Anyone else notice this? My guess is that there was a leading or trailing space that the Astaro failed to put into the PSK in the User Portal.
