Astarto causing problems with Hamachi

Hello,
I have been using Hamachi for a while to allow me to connect to my parent's PC 200 miles away and then I either RD or VNC into their pc. Now that I have installed and an using Astaro SG, I can not get Hamachi to connect to PC's outside my LAN. While I know that Hamchi typically requires little to no configuration, I also know that a good firewall setup can stop Hamachi, as it will not work when I am connected to my work LAN. Is there something in Astaro that I can change to allow the Hamachi traffic to flow unimpeaded? I am looking into setting up the VPN in Astaro, but right now Hamachi works well, as I have several friends that I walked them through the install and then used RDC to access their computers to fix them. I'm not sure I can walk them through the VPN setup.

    You need to open ports on your Astaro.

    The L2TP over IPSec VPN is the one we use.  The Windows client is very easy to use and the step-by-step instructions from Astaro are clear and precise.

    In Windows XP and Vista, Microsoft supplies an easy tool for "remote assistance" that requires no setup (perhaps a packet filter rule if you are transiting the Astaro).  You don't need Hamachi or a VPN for that.
