multiple branch offices

I have three branch offices, and one main office

I want the branch offices to be able to communicate with each other, and the main office.

Do I have to create a tunnel for each branch office to the other branch offices, or is there a simpler way to have each branch office see each other with only VPN tunnels to the main office?

  • This can be done either way... either as a star / hub setup (all remote units connect to one central unit, and the central unit routes between the sites), or you can opt for a full mesh topology (which I like in most cases) ... each site has a link to every other site.  That way, you are not dependent on the central site, and it will spread out the traffic a bit.
