iPhone V2.0.1 Cisco VPN with Cisco IPSEC

It seems that Astaro does not support Roadwarrior IPSEC clients other than its own based on what I'm seeing from past threads.

The proprietary "Cisco/Apple" IPSec client for the iPhone has significantly different behavior that the proprietary Cisco desktop IPSec client.

We do now have support for Xauth in version 7.300 and are looking into possible options for extending support to the iPhone.  It is not a certainty, but it is a feature request that has received attention.

we are currently working on supporting Cisco VPN Clients out of the box. This will include the windows as well as the iPhone client. 

For the iPhone we will also add automatic vpn configuration through the enduser portal. 

we plan this for 7.400 which will come end of Q4/beginning of Q1

I use my iPhone with L2TP over IPSec to my Astaro most every day.  It lets me access client's ASG WebAdmin from anywhere.

If you already have your ASG configured for L2TP Roadwarrior access, just set up L2TP as you would anywhere else.  On your iPhone in 'Settings > General > Network > VPN > Add VPN Configuration'.

I haven't tried the iPhone VPN configuration available from the User Portal in V7.303 - has anyone tried it?

I tried the iPhone L2TP over IPSec VPN setup from the User Portal on a client's Astaro (V7.302).  It works like a charm!  Just call up the portal on your iPhone safari browser and follow the instructions.
