I am the network admin for a commercial printer. We have several designers on staff that telecommute. We need to have them login to our network so they have access to the printers and other computers so they can transfer and print files. We are currently evaluating the Astaro 120. Our primary use of the Astaro device is for VPN. I need to know the procedure for setting up the admin and client end for a MacOS X client (10.3 / 10.4 and 10.5)
We have a static IP assigned to our WAN connection to the internet and all of the printers and computers have also been assigned manual addresses on a 192.168.1.x network
The remote clients have DSL connection with dynamic IP addresses.
I have looked at the VPN tracker program from Equinux at http://www.equinux.com/us/products/vpntracker/index.html Does anyone have any experience with this software? They have a walkthrough PDF on setting up their device with an Astaro gateway. It seems that it would make it easier to manage the connection from the remote user. Since they are designers and not network people, I want to make the connection process as painless as possible.
