We are having a very unusual problem. We have two data centers that we replicate mysql between. With one of the databases, there is a certain set of data that never replicates over the tunnel, it always seems to get stuck. There is traffic between the two servers, and the data is sent from the replicating server. However if we setup an stunnel link inside the vpn tunnel, everything works fine.
We have tried various MTU settings in case it might have been a fragmentation issues, but that didn't seem to solve anything. We have even tried different encryption schemes. We also don't have compression turned on so it is not a factor.
Any thoughts or ideas?
