I had some problems getting an older watchguard unit to connect to an ASG 6.x installation a couple of years ago... since we were under the gun, so to speak, we ended up swapping in an old Sonicwall we had floating around at the other end... of course, today, that site is running an Astaro 110 appliance (regulatory concerns and the need for a real IPS made that change necessary). I would imaging that there is a way to join a newer Watchguard to any IPSEC endpoint nowadays, though, with some tweaking of the IPSEC policy on the Astaro end to match the Watchguard.

Hi Thanks for the pointer I got it working yesterday by creating a policy in the ASG that matched the soho's all ok until the key dropped out and the two boxes wouldnt talk again. I have some time today so I hope to get it fixed.
