Vista + SSL VPN

Vista stuff again ...

When i connect via SSL VPN it works great, but i´m unable to reach the networks i defined on ASG SSL-Remote Access.

I do the same on a XP machine and everything works !

So problem seems to be Vista.
I customized it by disabling UAC and the config for SSL client putting these two lines at the end of the config.

# Vista Stuff
route-method exe
route-delay 2

Same problem exists without the 2 "vista" lines.

Please give me a hint.

    Hi Alex,

    I see the same problem with Vista.

    After installation it works for one time, but after a restart, it doesn't work any more.
    First I tought, it is, that I haven't started the setup as administrator, but even after installation as administrator it only worked for one time.

    I did this with two machines with Vista Business.

    Have no idea now, what to do.

    For me, I reinstalled by good old XP image....

    Will have an eye on that issue. 
    If you have the answer, please be so kind to make it public to all.

    By us it was is a permission problem, because the ssl route wich will be pushed down from the astaro appliance, couldnot be set except you run the client with administrator permission. 
    We tried to run the astaro vpn client run as administrator and we get the right ssl route (route print).

    An other solution could be to install openvpn client 2.1_rc4. With this client we had no problems to get a ssl-vpn connection.

    First I believed it was a permission problem, so I disabled the UAC and added the two "Vista" lines at the config file.

    Routes are being set, but if I do a tracert my.int.net.ip, all traffic is being routed through default gateway. 
    This is wrong ! Even metric seems to be ok !

    Any hints ?

    I had exactly the same problem - added the two lines to the .ovpn file and still couldn't traverse my network when connected.

    I kept digging and found a knowledge base article that relates to gateways disappearing after entering/leaving hibernate mode. 
    While the KB article did not directly reference routing for vista and VPNs it appears to have solved the problem.  All DNS and routing is now working great.
