PPTP and others will not enable

I am evaluating ASG in a Virtual Appliance. Functions generally work well -- proxies, filtering, etc -- but Remote Access fails to start.

For instance, with PPTP when I click Enable, the status goes from red to yellow, and the button changes to "Abort Enable." No matter what I try next, on the next refresh, the status is back to red and the button has changed to "Enable."

The same happens with SSL and L2TP over IPSec.

Remote access must work. What did I do wrong? I cannot find any useful logs that show errors.

    Rob,

    To start PPTP click enable en place a use under User and Groups
    Than click on APPLY! Than it will be saved an active.....[Green]
    After this you have to set a Packet filter rule to allow the connection....

    And Rob, what do you mean with remote Access? which tool or protocol?

    Thanks for the idea, but yes, I've tried adding a user and clicking Apply. It takes me right back to Red/Disabled status and doesn't give any errors. Is there a good log file somewhere? The "Live Log" doesn't show that kind of error I guess.

    Remote Access: Yes, I've noticed a lot of terminology around here like Road Warrior that doesn't appear on my WebAdmin pages. Is that pre-v7 terminology? On the ASG v7 virtual appliance I'm using, I have, among other things, Site-to-Site VPN on the left, which I'm guessing is for connecting two ASG boxes, and Remote Access, which I'm guessing is for VPN-ing with a client computer. That's what I'd like to get working (end goal is PPTP with iPhone).

    Rob,

    It's time limited![:S] 
    When PPTP is disabled [RED] you have to Enable it....it will turn [YELLOW]
    After that select user from Local in box directly followed by APPLY. it will turn to [GREEN]

    Yess, Site to Site is Box to Box [ASTARO]

    Look at management/End-user Portal for further Info.

    Ah ha! PPTP did not like the user I was dragging into the access box. I had a dummy user with no password, and that was unacceptable. Problem solved.
