Which is more secure? - ASC or SSL VPN?

I am using the latest version of the ASG V7.  I was wanting to know which is more secure and recommended for remote users? Using the ASC software or the SSL VPN Package?

     Currently I am using the SSL VPN package on all of my travel laptops.  I run the OpenVPN software with the "RunAs" function to give it admin rights so I can use my limited user account under Windows XP.  I  am also using the "Blink Professional" security suite from http://eeye.com on all of the laptops with the VPN package.
      Which would you recommend I use?  Is the ASC software more secure than what my setup is now?    Since V7 has come out with the SSL VPN, has it in a sense replaced the need for using the ASC (meaning was the ASC originally used for older versions of the ASG?).   I am just curious and not sure which I should use.  Thanks in advance.

    Well.... which is more secure AND recommended seems to be a contradiction to me. [:)] 

    Having to support sites that are using ASC, and then those that are using the SSL client, I'd choose the SSL client. It's easy to deploy, administer, and it doesn't cost extra. We will be replacing ASC clients by attrition.

    Okay thank you.  I much rather myself use a separate firewall that is not part of the VPN itself, but hey, that is just me.  I am sure some will disagree with that.
