I want to run the SSL VPN client on a workstation without Administrator privileges.
The problem is, that the SSL client is not able to connect the server because the ROUTE ADD instruction is not allowed.
I think there are three different possibilities.
1.) Microsoft group guideline
It would be possible to change the group guideline in the MMC to allow a group to change the ROUTE. The problem is that maybe not every computer is a member of a Domain. I could not find out how to allow changing ROUTE ADD instruction in the Local guidelines.
2.) Static IP and adding the route manual
By the connection to the ASG the IP Address and the Gateway is changing often, so I can't define a route before. I tried to work with static IPs, but he is getting always a DHCP-Address. How can I work with static IPs?
3.) Astaro SSL Client with Administrator privileges
My last idea is to open the SSL Client with Administrator privileges. I don't prefer this way. I think that I will need a script for this way and I don't want that anyone is able to read out this script because it will contain the Administrator password.
Is there any other way to run the SSL Client without Administrator privileges?
