Static IP for VPN client

Hi,

Can I specify the IP address that a client will be assigned when connecting using PPTP or L2TP?  I need to be able to restrict which systems and services each client can connect to.  

I'm not sure if the SSL VPN option provides this, however this solution is out because I can't grant Administrator rights to users on their laptops.

    Sugesstion ... There was a "bug" in ASG/ASL V7 fixed in 7.004 regarding install of SSL VPN and the service ... try that ?? also we use SSL VPN for our MAIN connetions and PPTP to restrict PORT ranges (actually FTP users go via (21 only) on PPTP and the SSL VPN users have more ports open ...

    Thanks for the information.

    So, can I not control which IP address a client is assigned using PPTP or L2TP?  Some remote users need access to different systems and the only way I can think to control this is by filtering based on IP address.  Would I be able to specify the address in the TCP/IP properties of the VPN connection on the Windows client?
