Dufus warning

Hi All,

Today I was attempting to change the VPN SSL Pool IP range to something more like my environment, when I inadvertantly typed my LAN IP range in and hit the apply button.

From that point on the ASL was completely locked out, rebooting's didnt bring it back to life either (It would have been nice for the ASL to tell me I was about to kill it though).

Anyway, it gave me a good chance to test the Restore function.

Although I do have to say, after loading 7.000 and applying 7.001, then applying my backup taken automatically this morning (thankyou Astaro) before I got my fat fingers on it, the HTTP proxy seems very hit and miss.

    The class "C" IP subnet numbers used in ASG for the VPN clients are randomly generated from the 10.x.x.x address range when the firewall software is installed. The purpose of this is to provide unique subnet numbers that do not conflict with other networks. IP routing can only work if the networks being routed have different subnet numbers.

    Your best bet, is therefore to leave the VPN subnet numbers as they were, and not change them.
