no communication through PPTP-Tunnel

Hello,

I've got an problem with an PPTP-tunnel from an Windows XP Client to an ASL 5. 

I was using the tunnel for a Remotedesktop connection through the client.
First it was all right and i could use the Remotedektop to the client through the tunnel, but suddenly it is not working.

Building up the tunnel from the client to the server is going good, but after this, there is no communication possible in either direction. All ping pakets that i send from the internal to the VPN Client get lost. Remotedesktop to the VPN-Client ist not possible.

The Paketfilter Rule allows every communication from the internal network to the PPTP-Group. 

On the Windows Client there is the Windows firewall running, but on the VPN Network it is dissabled. Also all ICMP Messages are enabled.

I have no idea how to solcve this problem, also i have no knowledge in Linux-Machines.

Can somebody please help me?

    Hi Martin,

    for testing purposes i would disable the xp-firewall.

    Then check the routing from/to your client, please try to reach your client directly from your firewall (ssh-shell or >support>Tools>Ping check (must be allowed on >network security>Packet filter>ICMP)).

    As next step you should check your packet-filter log (live-log) when trying to ping your client (or the other way round).
