Starting VPN connections from ASL

Hi,

I'd like to know if there is a possibility of starting VPN Roadwarrior connections from the ASL box, I mean, if a I can start a complete negotiation of an IPsec VPN tunnel from Astaro. 

Normally I start the connections from the VPN clients, but sometimes it could be useful for me if I could start connections from the ASL. Thanks for helping.

    Not realy (at least in roadwarrior config), because how should the Astaro know, what the IP of the roadwarrior is?

    The virtual IP is only aehm a "virtual" ip or better said, the "internal" ip adress of the client virtually see. Lol, now I'm confused again. 

    The virtual ip is mostly used for identifying and filter the client, when he allready made a connection. So Fritz always gets the 192.168.32.10 when he connects. 

    But you can't guess the real offical IP from where the client will connect. One way would be to use DynDNS on your client, but this only will work, if the client has a direct internet connection.

    Thanks for your comments. One more question, If I had defined in the Astaro Box static routes for every roadwarrior client I could then start the vpn connections from the Astaro Box?... or it just can't be possible with the Roadwarrior scenario? ... thanks.

    Not sure what you mean. Normaly, you client will have a different official IP-Address everytime he logs into the internet, so a static route won't help you much.
