L2TP over IPSec with Mac OS 10.4.8

Hi all,

I have the problem that my L2TP VPN is not working from my Mac OS 10.4.8. It is running with Windows XP without any problem.
The configuration in Mac OS X is pretty easy, it has even less possibilities for configuration changes than Windoze [;)]

So my question is: is there any issue, do I have to set something that this is working? Unfortunately it seems that nothing arrives on my Astaro at all...

    a whole lot to go on here. 

    I use L2TP over IPSec on my macbook pro darned near every day. 

    What's the problem, what's the configuration?

    Hi Jon,

    I got it running now: it seems that it cant contact the gateway (that whats standing in the log) if i set the optional "group" option in the VPN settings.
    With PPTP this is working...[:(]

    But I am still looking for something else:
    do you know how to deactivate split tunneling on MacOSX and set routings when a dial-in is successfully done?
