XP <-> ASL: VPN connection established, no traffic

Hi there!
We are a bit at a loss here. We have been using the Windows XP VPN client succesfully for some time with our ASL v6. Presumably since 6.303 we cannot establish working VPN-connections anymore.

- When connecting, the credentials are tested and the client correctly receives an IP adress, Gateway and DNS/WINS servers
- "route print" on the client shows correct routes
- any traffic from client to LAN is NOT possible (neither PING, HTTP, terminal services nor anything)
- Packet Filter Live Log shows NO packets (neitehr dropped nor accepted) that refer to any of the addresses used (neither PPTP nor WAN IP of the client)

It appears to me that the packets never reach the ASL at all!
We will try to revert back to 6.302 tomorrow. Still I'd be grateful if anyone of you could shed some light on this matter.

    What "6.303" version are you running? Can you log into the console and run `uname -a` and show us the output? There are 2 versions of 6.303, the original had issues with PPTP connections.

    Sorry, we have already downgraded, so I can't use the console command. But after we read here that there were problems with .303 we did a bare metal reinstall with the 6.303 ISO that had the date September 27.
