Windows Vista and Astaro PPTP connections

I'm running RC1 build 5728 of Vista and using a PPTP connection to my Astaro 220 box running 6.303.
 
After around an hour the Astaro box is locking up completely, not pingable internally or externally.  Once the front panel showed Busy 100%, the second time nothing unusual on the front panel.
 
Only a power down was possible and the Astaro is working fine without any PPTP connections.
 
Anyone else experienced this issue with Vista or in general with PPTP connections??

    The older 6.303 (there are "two" versions of 6.303) had serious problems with any Windows PPTP connections, which would lead to the kernel quitting... the "new" 6.303 reverted those changes, so no more crashes--but the issue of having to attempt connections more than once to establish a connection remains.  To force your Astaro install to install the "new" 6.303 up2date, edit the /etc/version file back to 6.302, then run a manual System Up2Date.

    I logged a call with Astaro also and they have not responded yet.  Will get the *new* 6.303 installed.  Did I miss notifications from them that this was broken with the update and an issue or has this been kept quiet?  Surely this would have warranted a 6.304 or 6.303a?

    You would think so, would have made getting things straightened out easier.  Currently, the method I listed is the only way I know of (other than formatting and reloading) of getting the latest up2date on there.  I would keep an eye on the http://up2date.astaro.com website.. that's where the news first hit.

    chrismoo, it's all been hashed through last week, do a search for 6.303 (here's a link) and read the various threads for more info.
