Which DSL Router?

Hi,

we want to connect 2 other small offices with our Network with the VPN Function of our ASG.

If here are any other Germany users with ADSL. Has anybody an hint for me wich Router is good for Working with the ASG VPN?

Is there any problem with installing ASG devices at the other offices? They seem to work best together.

That said, as long as the device is standards compliant, I haven't ever had a problem doing VPNs to a variety of different VPN endpoints because Astaro is so flexible.

The only Problem at the other offices is the money. An DSL Router is availiable around 200€. ASG/L is more expensive.

dlink vpn routers work ok with asl.

We have deployed a few Cisco 827's that VPN into our Astaro firewall. They work well.

Hi,

we are using since a while the USRobotics USR809107A, it costs about
60 euro and is very easy to set-up:

- Access the web configurator at http://192.168.1.1
- Choose Bridge Mode
- Set the ADSL parameters (in switzerland are VPI 8, VCI 35, LLC)
- Click on save

in Astaro choose PPOe...set username and password, and you are online!

When we use for the small offices the ASG 110 what we need else on an German ADSL? An Modem only will not work, because the Modem can not start the connection.

Has anybody realised something else?

sorry, not correct: the modem don't needs to start the connection, will be done by the astaro pppoe-interface

we use always teledat-302 or similar to connect, is the easiest way...
