Slow VPN with Astaro

Hi!

I'm using "Astaro Secure Client" to conncet to my astaro firewall VPN.
When I connect all goes fine, but I cannot reach anything on the VPN network until after I wait about 8-10 minutes.

Configuration information:
IKE Policy: Automatic mode
IPSec policy: Automatic mode
Exchange mode: Main mode
PFS Group: DH-Group 5 (1536)
Identity type: Fully Qualified username
IP-Adress: Manual
Certificate is used

Any suggestions where I should start looking?

    When you say 'reach' anything - do you mean by IP, by host name, what? How are you trying to reach things? 
    Have you assigned DNS services and WINS servers to the VPN clients when they attach to the network?

    Hi.

    I mean reaching IP.
    We have set up both DNS and WINS services.

    I can ping IP-numbers, but not use rdp, dns or anything else within ~8 minutes. After this "timeout" has gone I can reach machines thru rdp etc.

    hm we had a similar problem.
    We had to wait 1 Minute after a connection (RDP, DNS) works, but not 10 Minutes.
    Anyway, the solutions here was, that the Client has a wrong DNS-Server (a public not the Company-one) configured. And the client was not permitted to access this server (Packet-Filter).
    So it takes one minute to timeout the public Server, and after that the the iinternal Server was used.
