Fallback, Backup Connection

Hello, I've set up a SiteToSite IPSec VPN Connection over 2 Astaro V6. I'm planing to set up a ISDN backup system connection for the case that DSL fails to connect. Can I do this in an automatic way?

    Some provider give the possibility to dynamicly route the IP to the dialup accout it the fixed line is broken!
    A other way is to use dyndns for VPN connections!

    Hi, yes a static IP Adress is used to connect the 2 LANs over VPN. But in the case of a failure I want to do a ISDN Call in. Any ideas how I can realize this? (2 ISDN Router for example, no more astaro when DSL fails)

    You could do it with BGP; they are looking at adding that right now (no guarantees...)

    Short of that, you would have to be a competent script writer, do some ping or traceroute tests, and cut in the route on Astaro (and be responsible for your actions) -not for the novice...
