PPPoA problem, with VPN

Hi guys,
I am trying to build a VPN between two remote networks, but I am having problem with one end. This is the setup:

The problematic end has a Speedtouch 585 router.
Modem External (public, static) address: 203.xxx.xxx.xx3
Modem Internal Address: 10.0.0.138
ASL NIC to the modem: 10.0.0.1
ASL NIC to LAN: 192.168.22.101

Following this configuration is OK for Internet access behind the ASL. However I cannot build a tunnel with the other ASL end (which I know is configured correctly since I already have a separate ASL to ASL tunnel there)

The DSL type is PPPoA, and I tried using the PPPoA interface option using the above mentioned config, but when I do even the Internet connection of the network behind the ASL wont work.
