i'm new to the astaro firewall system. we are running the newest version and it all works fine. but i have one problem - maybe you could help me. an that's it:
our programmers often work from home using a pptp connection to our company network. for uploading files to webservers of our customers, they need ftp which uses the ip-adress of our astaro (cause of ip-filtering at the customer-server). so now i need to establish a ftp-connection over the pptp-tunnel. but it's not routing.
if i connect to the firewall by pptp, i get my own ip as gateway (e.g. 10.82.24.2) and i can work in our company-network without any problems. but if i do a traceroute, it always ends at 10.82.247.1. it doesnt go any further to the web. what can i do? how can i get a route from the pc at home over pptp through the firewall to the web (i tried something with static routes - but it didn't work out). the firewall itself is connected to the web and connection works fine in our company-network. but not over pptp [:S]
so this seems to be a "transport" problem. please excuse my "newby"-explanation.
