PPTP-VPN and AVM Fritz Box: How does it work ?

Hello together,

I try to establish pptp VPN from external to my LAN.

I have a AVM FritzBox WLANVoIP-Box (incl. DSL-router etc.) and an ASL 6.101

Placing my notebook (for tests) outside my LAN between ASL and AVM-DSL-Router the pptp connection builds perfectly. Aswell as from there to a different ASL 6.x I  can reach via internet.

What does not work is: from outside the FritzBox to the ASL 6.101.

Open ports at the FritzBox are TCP 443, TCP+UDP 500 and 4500.

As target from the Internet I gave the connection the current IP of the DSL router. That works fine when I want to administer the firewall from outside.

What points are missing ?

    You are hazzling with PPTP? The above mentioned ports may be good for UDP encapsulated IPSec and SSL connections but not for PPTP. You'd need tcp/1723 to initiate the connection and GRE IP protocol 47 for transport. Last is probably the source of error. Have you asked AVM support if the box supports PPTP passthrough?   Astaro does!

    you are right. TCP/1723 and GRE IP protocol 47 were the solution.
