Multicast Thru VPN Tunnel

HI,

I am wondering if Astaro has the ability to route or pass through multicast packets from one side of a VPN tunnel to the other.
we are currently using a 3Com VOIP solution that uses multicast packets to drive some of the features such as music on hold, paging etc.
As it stands, the locations that have the 3Com PBX's tied together lose some of the features.

do i need to setup a specific rule to forward the Mulitcast traffic?

    According to Astaro support this is not possible. ASL won't route multicast traffic  in a normal network, let alone across a VPN. We needed this a while ago, we had a Cisco router on one side of the firewall and a host on the other side. Astaro support said this is not possible. It might be considered as a future feature but they could not give me an ETA.

    I'm a certified NBX installer... we too wish there was something out there that passed multicast.. but this isn't just an Astaro issue... 3COM was supposedly going to release some new VPN concentrators that included Multicast routing and QOS inside the tunnel.. that was about a year ago, still don't have the product out.
