Using Cisco VPN client to connect to ASL

Guys,
I browsed through all threads  in the forum and also had a close look into www.astaro.com/kb but dind´t find any hint or comment about whether it´s possible to connect to an ASL gateway (v6.0 or 6.1) by using the VPN client that Cisco provides.

I cannot believe I am the only one on the world who uses Cisco VPN clients (for connecting to other networks behind PIXes), so please if anyone can tell me if he has succeeded with the VPN client to successfully build a  IPsec tunnel to an ASL I would be happy.

BTW shouldn´t Astaro be able to provide a short list  of 3rd Party VPN Clients that are known to work together with ASL...?

    I am in the same situation, using the Cisco client with our corporate VPN Concentrators, but I would also like to use it to connect to my Astaro FW at home.

    Hi,
    its not possible to use the Cisco-VPN-Client with an Astaro VPN Gate (Astaro Support told so).
    It seems that  the Cisco-Client has not everything built in, it  completes by taking a part of the funktionality and configuration by Connecting to a Cisco VPN Concentrator.

    To go further, you can't use the client for anything else then CISCO.
    Like allready said, the Client gets most of its informations/features from the CISCO mothership (similar to a Borg drone getting cut off from the hive).
