L2TP behind NAT Router

Hi There,

we have installed an ASL5.2x behind an NAT-Gateway. The Port's UDP 500, 4500 an 1701 are configured on the NAT Gateway. The ASC 8.2 works fine but the L2TP Clients don't work. If I connect the ASL drictly to the Internet L2TP works too.

What must i do?

    [/ QUOTE ]The simplest solution is to get rid of the NAT router that you have in between your ASL box and the broadband modem. With ASL taking care of your firewalling and NAT needs, there is not much point in having another box in front of it. You will find that the remote access features of ASL will work much better for you if the ASL WAN interface has a real, public IP address.

    I ran my setup with a Linksys router between the ASL box and the broadband modem for six weeks after I first installed ASL. I too struggled with getting VPNs to work in through the Linksys router. Then I smartened up, removed the Linksys router and sold it.
