Strange problems with Windows RDP through VPN

We have a site-to-site vpn running, any service is allowed in both directions between these sites.
Everything is going well, except for one thing Windows Remote Desktop Connections.
The connection is established, the log file is logging the accepted packages, the screen is starting but before any authentication window is coming, the connection is running into a timeout.

Why I am posting this to this forum:
when I use the public internet and start the RDP connection with
DNAT it works fine, it just has these problems with site-to-site vpn (RSA-keys).

Any suggestions?!?

Thanks,

Matthias Eichler
