Expected IPSEC performance on a p4-2.8GHz

Is there a limit to the number of IPSEC connections (apart from licensing issues) that is supported on ASL5 ?

I understand this problably depends on which encryption type you use and so on, but the manual isn't very clear on limits on the number of VPNs.

Has anyone for example tried to setup 75 VPN connections using some form of IPSEC ecryption ?

    75 is almost nothing, Astaro is able to hold many hundreds of VPN connections. The limit is the bandwidth you wanna serve. I'd say that you could make 200MBit with your machine with AES 128 encryption.
