win 2000 L2TP VPN with certificate

Hi!

For last three days I am trying to make VPN connection from my machine to ASL using windows IPSec client. Obviously with no success.
I have read anything (at least I think) that could be found on this forum and also on:
http://www.astaro.com/kb/
http://www.ish.com.au/astaro/docs/IPSecVPN/L2TPSettings.php
about L2TP with certificates .

With windows 2000 clients I keep receiving message:
Error 786: The L2TP connection failed because there is no valid machine certificate on your computer for security authentication

In oklaey.log on W2K machine: IKE failed to find valid machine certificate

Configuration:

W2K Professional / W2K server  both with SP3, both failed with same error (786)
IP 10.1.x.x

ASL ver 5.200
IP 192.168.x.x (internal interface)

For testing purposes, I wanted to connect local PC to ASL internal interface

Exact same settings with same certificate works just fine on WIN XP machine.

So, have I missed something about W2K?
