Reccomended IPSEC Clients

Hello.  I've been having an obsurd amount of problems with ASC(trial).  This is the worst piece of networking software I've ever used.  It has caused so many system problems on me.  During my trial I've had to uninstall-reinstall many times just to get it to work at all.  Ok, enough of that rant, on with my question.

What do you nice folks recommend for an IPSEC software client?  I've tried ASC/NCP, don't like it.  Tried SSH Te---- Connector, didn't like it.  Other than those two, I'm not sure what else is there.  I need something that will work with SP2 and is very reliable while being user friendly and tech friendly.  It must also support X.509 certs and preferably compression also.

    Check out The Green Bow. I use it for all my ASL v4 and v5 machines. Small, light, and works right.

    Some month ago, Astaro sold the so called "SSH Sentinel". Then Astaro switched to NCP (ASC), because this client is buch better to handle and supports WinXP Service Pack 2 which SSH Sentinel doesn't.

    I really like ASC. I nearly had no problems with that client. Very easy to configure.
    Do you use a personal firewall or a programm which mangles your network interfaces in any way? This could produce problems, if using an IPsec Client.

    Try SSH Sentinel. I don't like SSH Sentinel at all. Maybe you like it. Send me a private message - then I will send you the trial version of SSH Sentinel. Astaro does not sell SSH Sentinel any more. But maybe you can buy it somewhere else, if you like the trial.

    The reason I dislike ASC is because it locked down my interfaces and added a logical one for use only by ASC.  This is a problem on my laptop because I take it other places and use a wireless card.  When I use the wireless card I disable the hardline connetion, which I'm not allowed/able to do with ASC installed.  This causes many problems and basically wreaks havok on my system and adds a great deal of frustration that I, nor my users need.

    PS, thanks for the green bow connection, I'm still testing it out and having problems with inserting certificates.

    OK, I also noticed that, now. That's a little bit disturbing. Maybe it helps switching of the NCP services.
