I am trying to make a PPTP VPN connection to an ISA 2004 server that sits behind an edge ASL5 firewall. Connecting to the ASL firewall as the PPTP VPN end-point is not an option, the clients must connect to the ISA server. Unfortunately we can not publish the ISA server directly to the internet either so I need to find out how to do this through the ASL firewall.
With most other firewall products I would just ensure TCP 1723 and GRE (Protocol 47) is forwarded to the internal server and I've never had a problem. But GRE does not appear to be an available protocol in ASL5 for the necessary network rules and packet filters. I tried enabling PPTP road warrior access, hopping it would enable the appropriate rules with respect to the GRE protocol to publish the server to the internet but to no effect.
How do I do this in ASL5?
