How to Setup a realVPC on my network

I am using v5 at home. My son wants me to setup what he called a "realVPC" to his home computer so he can access his computer from anywhere else, such as the university he attends. How do I do this? [:S]

Find out what ports the application uses, and use DNAT to forward them to the PC, and put packetfilter rules to allow the traffic.

Just to let you know that vnc is plain text. In other words man in the middle attacks can occur and probably will. You can setup VNC to tunnel through an ssh server. There are a few tutorials out there. If I found one I will post it up.
