Hello,
To create connection to the internet, I have to make a PPTP VPN-connection to my ISP's VPN server.
Only information I have is the address of the ISP's VPN serve to which I have to connect. ISP has not given me static address.
With Windows it is easy to create the connection. (Though I have to uncheck the "Require data encryption" for the connection)
I have now installed the Astaro V5.
I want to set the Astaro so that it creates the VPN connection to the internet and my LAN client-computers doesn't have to create the VPN connection.
In Astaro, should I go to Network -> Interfaces and add external interface and make these VPN settings there?
All information I got is the VPN server's ip(10.20.30.40) and my login and password.
What should I put in these fields:
Name: MyExternal Interface
Hardware: eth1
Type: PPTP over Ethernet(PPPoA-DSL) connection
Address: Assigned by remote
Default Gateway: Assigned by remote
Modem IP Address: 10.20.30.40
NIC IP Address: ?????
NIC Netmask: ?????
Address to Ping: ?????
Username: myusername
Password: mypassword
Uplink Failover on Interface: ?????
QoS Status: ?????
MTU Size: ?????
