MAC os X VPN Client

I am trying to set-up a ipsec connections using my MAC OS X VPN Client but unsuccessfully so far. Does anyone have experience in the policy set-up that is need for this VPN client.

Your help would be great because I am stuck here :-)

    I use my OS X system to connect to the office all the time.  I've done this with both the Panther and Jaguar clients, although it's been nearly a year since I've used Jaguar.

    What sort of problem are you encountering?  Does your question pertain to the Mac setup, or the setup on the ASL side?

    Great! I hope you will be able to help. THe thing is that I don't know the policy set-up that the Mac OS Client is expecting. Would you be kind enough to send me a screen dump of your policy set-up on the ASL side.

    Also what I don't understand on the Mac OS X Client side, when asked for the username and password, am I supposed to first enter CHAP username, CHAP password?

    Hi Wouter2, 

    just use the 'MS Windows L2TP over IPSec'  Settings, those should work with Mac OS X L2TP vpn.

    setup the IPSec VPN > L2TP Setup to your needs and create a used in Definition > Users and enable L2TP for that user.

    Now you should be good to go.

    In order to access the local network, you need to add a packetfilter rule and you should be set.
