Remote Authenication

I currently use an IPSEC client to connect remotely using X.509 certificate method.  By this way all I need to do is activate the connection and I can link to the office.  Is there any way to get a secondary confirmation, like a userid/password, after I connect before I can start moving around the network?  I can see in the IPSec client software it has the option but I don't know how to turn it on in Astaro 5.X

    You cannot use User Authentication with username and password with the Astaro Secure Client since ASL does not support XAUTH. In version 5 you can establish a L2TP over IPSec tunnel. This method allows you to authenticate with username and password. You do not need additional software due to Windows 2k and XP support L2TP over IPSec.
