Can't PPTP to ASL 5.024 from XP - Error 732

PPTP error 732 - Am I the only one to get this? I'm trying to PPTP to my ASL from my (remote) Windows XP machine and cannot get a connection, always with the same error - "......could not agree on PPP control protocols" As a newbie I'd appreciate being led by the nose!  [:$]

    Do you have any more information from the logs?

    Perhaps you can get the Packet Filter Live log going and attempt a connection.  This will tell you first of all if packets are getting to the box.  And second if they are accepted or denied by your firewall rules.

    I had a similar error using L2TP vpn and in looking at the logs I was able to see that the packets were getting there AND were allowed.  Because of this I was able to figure out that it was a network config issue.  Are you using multiple IP addresses on your Astaro box?  If so, check that the Gateway is setup appropriately.  If it's not, your packets will get to your Astaro box but not have a way to get back to the client.
