vpn broadcasts (games?)

Hi there!

I am using the ASL at home and nearly everything works fine. The Idea was to set up a vpn server to have the possibility to play games and exchange files through the vpn tunnel. I have set up the pptp access and the connection itself works great. The Problem is that the Windwos NetBios Broadcasts are not sent through the tunnel (are not routed). There are many post about this but I dont want to set up an additional Computer just for WINS or DNS. In the pptp settings i have the possibility to give static ip addresses to the clients - would this maybe fix the problem when i give them addresses from my internal network? The next broadcast Problem would be the games. Their broadcasts are only in my subnet, too. Is there maybe a way to forward all broadcast to the pptp pool or any special funktion to check?

    I am also interested in the Netbios Broadcast solution. I looked at GIT and thats nice and all, but it seems to require that you know the service port range(s) of the specified game.

    If we could forward the Netbios broadcast through the VPN (PPTP, IPSEC) tunnel, then in theory any game hosted on one computer should be visible to other players connected via VPN.

    I have even tried to create a larger broadcast address by defining 192.168.255.255 so that it should go across all 192.168.x.x subnetworks without success.

    Any other Astaro gurus out there that can help?
